Casino RoyaleLast week, I finally got to see the movie I have been waiting all year for - Casino Royale. Now this, was a great film. Daniel Craig in my opinion was the right choice for Bond. They bought back the rights for the only Ian Fleming book which they did not own, and made it into their official version. They had a script, crew, producer, director, the whole lot. But there seems to be some confusion amongst some people about this being James Bond's first outting as 007. Some people seem confused in that Sean Connery was the first 007, now Daniel Craig is playing a newly promoted 007. The thing you have to remember is that Sean Connery is now in his 70's, and isn't the best choice to play a young Bond. The other problem seems to revolve around the fact that the movie is set in the year 2006, but is still Bond's first outting. The thing people should remember is that the James Bond movies are a reflection of society, what's going on and more importantly a product of their era. So what hapened when Sean Connery and Roger Moore were Licenced to Kill, may not work today. It just happened that during Sean Connery and Roger Moore's tenure, the Cold War was raging between the Soviet Union and the west. But this no longer exists. For example, The Living Daylights, set in 1987, partly revolved around Societ occupation of Afghanistan, and James Bond helped the Mudjahadeen thwart the Russians. Whereas, if it were done in 2006, it would be the other way around, with 007 going to the Russians for help against the Taliban. So the simple answer is that 007 is a product of his time. You shouldn't try and set it in a certain time period, because then you would put an age on 007, thus wearing off his reputation.1 Comments | Send To Friend | 12 December 2006

Question without a topic...DATING ADVICE | Nothing lasts forever, so live it up, drink it down, laugh it off, take chances, and never have regrets, because at one point everything you did was exactly what you wanted and maybe still want. 0 Comments | Send To Friend | 1 October 2006
Gone, but not forgotten. This is not about dead people, it's nore a continuation of my last blog. It's about my favourite WWE Divas who are no longer under contract, and where I think they should go.Kathy Dingman - I always thought Kathy was hard done by, when she was fired for dating Hardcore Holly, when he was allready married. I still think Kathy has the goods. Blonde hair, big boobs, amazing smile. I think it would be best to keep her of ECW, but she would fit in will with Raw or SmackDown. See my weblink for further details. Dawn Marie - She got pregnant, and WWE fired her. Now that she's had her baby, she is back down to her fighting weight. I still think she has the goods and was involved in some good story lines on Smackdown. Maybe she should have a contract where she only did one day a week - that being tv tapings. Should resume her character on SmackDown, but would fit in well with ECW or Raw. Tammy Lynn Sytch aka Sunny - Tammy has been around the block, having runs with WWE, WCW, ECW, NWA, drug problems and the death of her boyfriend Chris Candido. She was the original WWE Diva of the 90s, who others have followed her lead. Good choice for the Hall of Fame. Would fit in well with ECW, Raw or Smackdown. Molly Holly - Released for whatever reason. But she is still one of the better female wrestlers who can have an actual match, not just a Bra and Panties Match for Sexual Entertainmet. Would fit in well with Raw, SmackDown and ECW. Stacy Keibler - Well her left leg and her right leg were my favourite tag team. To let her go is ludicrous. OK, so she wants to do other things, but it would be in WWE's best interests to have her for at least Raw or Smackdown tapings. Trish Stratus - I'm sure the retirement is just a work while she takes time of to get married. Should be back next year maybe. Terri - Goldust's ex wife. At least she has more brains than her ex husband. Had a good role as a backstage interviewer, and would make a good commentator. Still has an awesome figure. Would go well with Raw or SmackDown. 0 Comments | Send To Friend | 27 September 2006
